Aluminium Scrap Prices – Q1 2025 Overview

Aluminium prices are showing upward movement in Q1 2025 as construction demand picks up. What are yards paying right now?
Extruded aluminium scrap prices have edged higher in early 2025, with most UK yards now paying between £900 and £1,100 per tonne for clean window frame and extrusion material.
The uptick is largely driven by increased demolition and refurbishment activity across UK commercial real estate, bringing more material to market — but demand is keeping pace.
Cast aluminium remains around £750–£950 depending on contamination levels. Mixed aluminium continues to attract lower rates at £500–£700 per tonne.
